So I signed up for JJC again. Let's see if I get over there to pay for it, lol. My last post said going to start school and then I got dropped because I didn't have the money to pay for it and it was just for fun.
Now I'm taking classes in Horticulture. I hope I can afford this, I want to go to school and with this program I can get a certificate of completion in two years or less going part time. To get a degree would take six years part time. This seems like a more realistic goal for me in my current situation. With the certificate of completion I wouldn't have to take general education, just learn about greenhouse management. So If we ever move I'm going to look for a job in a greenhouse, I think. I want to be able to have a green business, and teach others how they can make a difference buy using organic methods of gardening.
My big problem now is money. Good thing JJC is cheap but still I'm already stretched. So today I looked into financial aid and scholarships. After a few hours filling out forms and writing essays, I find out I'm not qualified for either. So I guess I need to start a college fund for myself and save for next semester as I want to take more classes, if I can. I'm going to have a garage sale soon too I hope to clean out the house and earn some money. Next summer I might have a better chance of getting a job at a nursery/greenhouse! The future is looking bright I think this path might be the one.
