Just getting familiar with blogging. I'm starting school this summer at Joliet Junior College. Going to school is something that I keep on trying to do, and this time I'm going to succeed. I feel like if I don't do it now I'll keep putting it off, regretting more years gone by. On Monday the 23rd of March I am meeting with a professor to make an academic plan for my vet-tech major. There is a waiting list to start the vet-tech program but I need to take some classes before I can even start the program. As far as I know as of now, it will take me four or five years to get a degree unless I win the Lotto and can afford to not work as much. So for now I'm going to take one class a semester and then as I feel more comfortable add more classes per semester.
Hopefully Steve and I will be able to start our alpaca herd before I'm done with school. What I learn in school can be applied right away. The alpacas are what sparked my interest in learning more on animal medicine. Learning about the many issues that can occur is so interesting. I've always wanted a farm and with these animals we don't need a ton of property, just a few acres.
One step at a time though. First we need to continue educating ourselves, and keep working toward our goals.
